Custom tills

A till built around the way you work

Bars, kitchens, canteens and shops rarely fit a standard till. We build yours on the same Phlo POS engine that already runs behind the counter every day, and shape it to your products, your staff and your back office.

Custom work has no price list. An intake gets you a fixed scope and a fixed price.

Who we build for most

Different rhythm, same engine underneath. Most projects are one of these two, or a mix of the two.

Hospitality

Bars, kitchens and canteens

A busy bar has no time for a till that thinks. Tapping is the whole interface.

  • Tabs by name, table or team, parked and picked up by whoever is behind the bar
  • Kitchen and bar tickets that print the moment you book, with who ordered what
  • Options, part portions and bottle deposits, priced right without anyone doing sums
  • Split a bill in half, per item or by any amount
  • A fixed touchscreen at the bar and tablets on the floor, working the same order
  • Your public site and menu card running off the same database as the till

Retail

Shops, counters and chains

A queue does not wait for a network. The till has to be right, fast and honest at closing time.

  • A till per counter that keeps ringing up sales when the connection drops
  • Barcode scanning without focus fiddling; staff sign in with a badge
  • Gift cards, customers on account, staff discount, returns and price checks
  • Cash-up per shift with denominations, and a change fund procedure that adds up
  • One back office for master data, prices and reporting across every store
  • Links to what you already run: bookkeeping, loyalty, and older databases you cannot replace overnight

What a custom project includes

Not a licence and a manual. A working counter, installed, with the parts around it that make it a till.

The till

Installs as an app on a touchscreen, tablet or PC. Local-first, so taps, discounts and totals never wait for a server.

The counter around it

Receipt printer, cash drawer, scanner, customer display, kitchen printer and card terminal, driven by a small print agent that keeps working offline.

The back office

Catalogue, prices, menus, staff, shifts and reports in the browser, with ledger-ready day totals split by tax rate and payment method.

The numbers

Turnover, busy hours, top sellers and payment mix, per till, per shift and per store, without exporting anything first.

Monitoring and support

Every till visible live, remote lock and reload, messages to the counter, and watch-with-me support that announces itself on screen.

The part that is yours

The rule, the report or the integration that no standard till offers. That is usually the reason you are reading this page.

How a project runs

1

Intake

You describe your floor: what you sell, how many counters, what has to talk to what, and where it currently hurts. Ten minutes of typing.

2

A proposal, or an honest no

We read it ourselves and come back within two working days with a fixed scope, a fixed price and a real date. If we are not the right fit, you hear that instead.

3

Built on a running engine

Nothing starts from scratch. Tabs, tickets, scanning, cash-up and reporting already exist and are proven on live counters; we build what is specific to you on top.

4

Live at your counter

We install on site, train the people who will use it and stand next to them on day one. After that: monitoring, updates and someone who picks up the phone.

Why there is no price here

A custom till is priced by its scope, not by a tier. Two counters in one bar and twelve counters across four stores are different projects, and so is every integration with a system you already run.

So we do the boring thing: you fill in an intake, we work out what it actually takes, and you get one price with everything in it. No hourly surprises, no per-device licence that grows behind your back.

Selling online too?

If you run a webshop and mostly need a till that books into it, you do not need a custom project. That one is a subscription you can start yourself today.
